Little Giant Blueberry Plants are on sale now! Little Giant's 2 for 1 blueberry plant special is on again this year, so be sure to take advantage. The plants are of the Highland variety and are shipped bare root to save on shipping costs. We recommend getting them in the ground early to take advantage of a full growing season. Pro tip: if you've got chickens, keep on eye on them around the plants, because once they fruit, your birds will peck the bush clean if you're not watching. They love blueberries are much as people do!

Time to Get Those Tomatoes Up Folks!
If you've ever grown tomatoes like I have, by the end of the summer there's a tangly mess of vines, rotten tomatoes and sheer mayhem! Tomatoes are delicious, but growing them can be a pain :) My wife and I always staked our tomatoes and after seasons of frustration, moved to a cage which was a bit better. The problem always seems to be plant maintenance -- tying up the new vines so they don't take over neighboring plants, rearranging existing vines and making sure you can spot all the ripe tomatoes before they go bad.
The folks at Topsy Turvy came up with a great way to grow tomatoes upside down in a hanging planter. Nice! This is a great solution for people who have limited space (tomatoes from your apartment balcony anyone?), or who want easy-to-maintain plants within arm's reach from the kitchen door.
The Topsy Turvy® Tomato Tree™ Planter lets you mix and match your favorite tomatoes -- 3 different plants -- all in one planter. Grow 3 varieties of tomatoes or do 1 tomato, 1 zucchini and 1 cucumber. Each planter can yield up to 200 tomatoes and because everything is off the ground, you won't need to pick off pesky worms or other creatures.
The planter comes with an oversized hanging grow bag with 3 ports, and a sturdy 5' plus steel stand. It's easy to set up and uses just 4 square feet of space.
Check out their website to order, and you can even watch one of their funny TV commercials!
Enjoy this growing season, and I hope you harvest bushels of juicy ripe tomatoes :)
